The North Country Teacher Resource Center is one of more than 127 Teacher Resource and Computer Training Centers created in 1984, by the New York State Legislature and funded through the New York State Education Department. NCTRC is committed to providing staff development activities aimed to promote excellence in education. NCTRC is located on the Plattsburgh State University campus in the northeast corner of NY State. We have a complete line of computer equipment, loan materials and an extensive professional library, and serve as a walk-in resource center.

Our location also allows us to work cooperatively with the Plattsburgh State University Professional Studies Department Faculty and the over 400 pre-service education students. The North Country Teacher Resource Center works collaboratively with area educators, school districts, parents, community agencies, higher education, local business and community members to enhance professional growth, increase knowledge, exchange ideas and develop strategies to refine classroom instructional skills.

Statewide Teacher Centers Receive Funding for 2007-2008

NCTRC would like to thank everyone for your continued support of the North Country Teacher Resource Center. Your voices were heard in Albany by our Legislators, because of the letters, postcards, phone calls, and emails they received from you. Not only did they provide an on time budget but one that included an increase for Teacher Center funding. NCTRC promises a full summer’s compliment of courses and workshops to meet many of your professional development needs.
