Living History “Hands On" The Revolutionary War in the Champlain
Valley

Join an
enthusiastic pair of historians, Tom and Tom, for a unique summer
adventure. Participants will explore
the
rich heritage of the Champlain Valley bringing to life “The
Revolutionary War”. Monday will be spent in the
Plattsburgh
area exploring the rich artifacts of the Revolutionary War as well
as preparing the participants for
the
travels ahead . On Tuesday – Thursday, participants will travel
south along the shores of Lake Champlain
to visit the
historic sites of; the Saratoga Battle Field, Bennington Monument,
Hoosick Falls, Hubbardton Battle
Site, and
Mount Independence. Teachers will use the Living History cross
curriculum approach to experience
some of the
major historic sites, museums, artifacts and programs dealing with
the American Revolution.
Participants will receive a complete outline of this four day event
upon registration confirmation.
