Summer 2009 Workshop
 

NASA Resources

          Open to all
          Prerequisite: none
          Tuesday: June 30
          Time: 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
          Cost: $10
          Place: Sibley Hall
          Room 212
          Register by: June 23

          NASA Resources Grades 1-6: - (June 30th from 8:30-3:30)
         
During this  day long workshop, grades 1-6 teachers will learn about NASA Earth, Astrophysics, Heliophysics
          and Planetary science missions. Teachers will also learn about the wealth of NASA educational resources available
           for free.  Lessons specific for each grade will be demonstrated and teachers will receive an abundance of free
           educational resources to take back to their classrooms.  Some of these lessons include: solar system scale
          model for elementary children,  moon phases, understanding & finding constellations, what causes day and night
          and understanding the three states of matter. These are but a few of the many lessons we will explore.
          (Participants please bring a paper towel tube)
