Services Provided

Full-range of scouting services - Tiger Cubs is for first grade boys and an adult partner who work together on a planned program and meet as a group twice a month plus meet with pack once a month; Cub Scouts is for boys in grades 2-3 who meet in dens weekly, work on advancements, and hold monthly pack meetings; Webelos (grades 4-5) is a transitional program preparing Cubs to become Scouts with a variety of activities planned; Boy Scouts is for boys in grade 6 through age 17, a program in which rank advancements and merit badges are earned and which features outdoor activities, leadership training, and community service.

Service Eligibility

Tiger Cubs (first grade boys); Cub Scouts (grades two through three; Webelos (grades 4-5); Boy Scouts (grade 6 through age 17); Venturers for both males and females (grade 9 through age 20) has outdoor and high adventure activities which can be used by religious organizations for youth ministries; Explorers for both males and females (grade 9 through age 20) has career orientation as part of the Learning For Life Division

Set: Annual youth and adult membership fees which include liability, health, and accident insurance

Volunteer Opportunities

Council executive board members, district committees, merit badge counselors, unit leaders -- training is provided at all levels; open to males and females ages 21 and older

Additional Information

Scout activities are also available at national adventure bases; pen pal clubs are world-wide; year-around activities and training courses. Summer camp for Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts at Camp Bedford; Cub/Parent week-end campouts; drug abuser and youth protection training seminars. Council serves youth in parts of St. Lawrence and Hamilton counties as well as Clinton, Essex, and Franklin counties.
