Hours of Operation
9:00 A.M. - 5:00 P.M. Monday through Friday for appointments; evening appts. arranged.
Services Provided
24 hour telephone service for emergencies;
Provides information and referral for clients with abuse problems; advocacy service utilizing service providers in and out of Essex County to ensure that clients receive proper intervention; limited transportation services. Initial interview routinely offered during business hours to assess need of individual or family in order to implement a plan. Provides individual counseling for domestic violence victims, safety planning, assistance/accompaniment for family and/or criminal court, safe housing.

Battered and formerly battered and abused persons and their dependent children.

None
Comments: No charge for non-residential services. Resident cost covered through DSS or CUB.
Volunteer Opportunities
Hot line, child care, transporters, fund raising, office work, public education advocacy.
Additional Information
All volunteers are required to fulfill a twelve hour training if they are to have client contact. Staff training and information available in Clinton and Essex counties.
