Hours of Operation

Open seven days a week from early May through late October. Hours are 9 A.M. to 5 P.M. (until 6 P.M. in July and August)

Services Provided

A Soldier's Life, teaching trunks containing a teacher's guide, activities, and 18th century reproductions for hands-on exploration are available for classroom use. There is no charge for use of the kits, but schools are asked to return the kits to the Fort via U.P.S. delivery. A "Scavenger Hunt" for elementary students is designed to be used in conjunction with a visit to Fort Ticonderoga. Students should be able to answer the questions using material that is covered in the standard tour or learned through a visit to the museum. The Scavenger Hunt is sent to teachers when they call to schedule a class visit to the Fort.

Fee Schedule

Set: School group admission price as well as fee for general public
Comments: One adult chaperone for each five students receives a complementary admission.

Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteers are being sought to work in the King's Garden and as staff for special events throughout the year.

Additional Information

The Fort Ticonderoga Museum presents 18th century military and cultural history, focusing on the French and Indian and Revolutionary Wars in the Lake Champlain and Lake George Region. Costumed interpreters give historical talks throughout the day, followed by musket firing demonstrations, weather permitting.
