Additional Information
The Hancock House is a magnificent Georgian-style mansion built in 1925 as a museum/library. The house was built using the detailed architectural drawings created by John Sturgis of John Hancock's Beacon Hill residence which was built in 1737 and destroyed in 1741. The Hancock House provides a depository for historical archives and collections of Ticonderoga, Essex County, the Adirondacks, and the Lake George and Lake Champlain Basin regions.
