Hours of Operation

Saranac Lake office: open noon until 3:00 P.M. Monday through Friday;
Malone office: open noon until 3:00 P.M. Monday through Friday

Services Provided

Literacy; trains and assists individuals and groups to tutor adults and teenagers; tutoring involves two hours per week at a mutually convenient time and location; unit is financially self-supporting; leadership has mobilized community support for activities.

The Saranac Lake office is supported by both the Essex and Franklin County Literacy Volunteers.

Service Eligibility

Persons who need help in basic reading, writing, and conversational English and are willing to learn. Basic Literacy and English as a Second Language
