Services Provided

Provides volunteer opportunities for persons in Essex County who are 55 years of age or older. Volunteers are recruited for non-profit organizations and agencies that need assistance. Programs are developed to respond to community needs. (The primary function of RSBP is recruitment and placement of senior volunteers.)

Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteer program with 90 work sites throughout Essex County with over 400 different assignments available. Every effort is made to find appropriate sites based on the interests of the volunteers and community needs

Additional Information

Benefits include meal and travel reimbursement and excess accident, personal liability, and auto insurance coverage. Annual volunteer recognition.
Volunteers are assigned to work stations according to their interests and abilities under a Memorandum of Understanding between the work station and RSVP, an agreement which is renegotiated annually.
